Town of Little Suamico

Est. 1859

Welcome

1859 are the earliest records that could be found. Ernst Kuntze was Chairman, Clerk, and Treasurer. The Old Town Hall was only used to hold the Town Annual Meeting and elections. Heat was provided by a wood stove, and sanitary facilities were furnished by way of an outside privy.

Hello all.

After many discussions and planning here is the timeline of the current road work in the Town and how it will hopefully unfold, weather depended.  Starting July 24th a billboard will be placed near Nero along Cross Rd notifying of the roadwork to begin next week.  The plan is to close the segment from S. Chase Rd. to Nero and begin pulverizing and paving by the 3rd or 4th of August.  Then closing the segment from Nero to the railroad tracks should be done by the 6th of August.  In addition, Sundale and Geano Beach will be done along the same timeline. The shouldering of S. Chase Rd. should take place around August 4th or 5th as they shoulder the new segment of Cross Rd.

It has been determined that the segments of road to be worked on need to be completely closed to traffic to get it done the quickest and safest for the Highway crew. This means there will be more traffic along the segment of Thomas Way for a couple of days.  Thank you.
